| We were blessed to have the opportunity to buy Eclipse as a yearling before she freshened. We are thrilled to be the owners of the 2004 Reserve Junior National Champion, as well as a daughter of the 2003 & 2004 National Grand Champion! Unfortunately Eclipse freshened with a terrible mastitis as a yearling, and lost attachments on one half of her udder. She still produces a lot of milk, but we have been unable to show her because of the loss of attachments and more so her unevenness. However, we had her appraised as a two year old, and she scored a 90 with the one half of her udder! Eclipse is an enormous doe, she is pictured as a yearling, and has grown SO much since then. We will try to get a new picture soon. But talk about a correct goat. Eclipse really has it all height, length, width, smoothness, strength, dairyness. She pretty much has it all. It is a shame that we cannot show her on account of her udder symmetry. We have retained her son, Sirius Black in our herd as well as her daughter, Luna. Sirius' kids have been Outstanding! Many receiving dry legs their first show out! | |
