Surprise is a beautiful, smoothly blended doe. She has lovely dairy
character and strong feet and legs. She has a gorgeous, socked-on
udder and has shown extremely well throughout her life - being first
place in every class she's entered! As a 2 yr. old, Surprise
went to 1 weekend show in Michigan where she placed Grand Champion
both days, Best Udder of Breed and then Best Udder in Show the last
day! We unfortunately have lost digital copies of her 2 yr. old
pictures, so please bear with the fact that the pictures on this
page are her as a yearling. She's overcome the gangly quality to
her rear legs, and the rest of her body and her udder have nearly
doubled in size, while still maintaining the same soundness in all
udder attachments. Also evident is the power she carries, and
blends it beautifully with her dairy character. As a
yearling (in the photos) she was a 'total package' and now that
she's matured more, she's become nothing short of absolutely
lovely-all the way around.
In
2009 Surprise was only taken out to one show, and she did great!
At that show she received GCH and Best of Breed, completing her
requirements for her permanent championship.
Surprise just does not take good pictures, but
is still quite impressive in person. SADLY, her pictures that were
taken at the National show were lost by the photographers! She is
just an all-around balanced doe with many lovely qualities. She has
gotten BOB many times this summer, and she is also being bred to
Companeros Foxtrot Commander.
