| Laya is one of the
many beautiful animals we were able to purchase from Patty Dean at
Willow Run Dairy. Laya is long, deep and level throughout with
a table-top rump and very correct, well-attached udder. Judges
have commented regularly on the strength of feet and legs that she
has. Laya made her show debut in May 2003, as a four yr. old,
she stole the scene, finishing her championship at her first 3
shows! Records for that year are 9 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 3 x RGCH, 4
x GCH, 4 x BOB, 5 x BUOB, 1 x RBDIS, 1 x BDIS. She was 2nd
place 4 yr. old at the '03 Nationals! She has continued to do
well being shown only a few times in the Champion Challenge class.
She is mostly brought to the shows to do showmanship, as she
absolutely loves to stand in the ring. Laya is heavily
intermingled in National Champion bloodlines. Stimulator's
dam, Satin, was the '99 National Champion with Best Udder. The
2002 Junior Champion was a granddaughter of McKinley Mason.
And Temptress' dam, Tweedle Dee, was the '97 National Champion.
If you look in the ADGA archives you are bound to see many of Laya's
relatives in high National placing, including this year's 1st place
2 yr. old, Thalutations, who is out of Laya's littermate sister!
We are very thankful for the opportunity to own such a sweet and
outstanding doe!
