Selena is a sweetheart of a doe we purchased in the spring of
2005 from Willow Run. We are very pleased with the outcome of
incorporating her bloodlines in our herd, as they blend, but
also add some new genetics. Smirk was the 2004 National Grand
Champion Saanen, and we are very excited to have a beautiful
grand daughter of hers' in our herd. Selena has an amazing
udder. She stood second to Bliss all year in 2005 in the show
ring, often placing first udder. She really came into herself as
a 3 yr. old, placing 1st in every class, often Reserve Champion
and was even Grand Champion over our 2 yr. old, Thalutations
once, and was BUOB 1 time. Selena's fault lies in her feet, she
does have splayed toes, but her pasterns still remain very
strong, and her 3rd generation udder makes up for that. She is
an extremely dairy and elegant doe. She also produces that 4th
generation udder, as we saw in her yearling daughter, Surprise,
who placed 1st in her class every time shown. We were thrilled
to have Selena L.A. a 90 in 2006! That on top of her 5th
place at the 2006 Nationals made it an exciting year
for Selena. Unfortunately she miscarried and ended up being dry
for 2007. We lost Selena in the Fall of 2007.
